Smokey Parabia Angelfish
Paraiba is a name coined by renouned angelfish breeder, Ken Kennedy, for any fish that is both a blushing angel & homozygous for the philippine blue gene. The fish shown in the photo is a smokey paraiba bred by Ken, and imported on the first ever UK shipment of his fish. The philippine blue gene produces fish with heightened blue colouration, depending on which other genes it is combined with, the shade and intensity of blue can vary considerably. We are currently working on producing a number of different varieties that incorperate the philippine blue gene, and hope that in 2011 we will be able to make a number of exciting varieties available in the UK for the first time.
