Silver Clown Angelfish

The name clown angelfish was first coined by Dr Joanne Norton and applied to angelfish which were heterozygous for zebra and stripeless and also had a dark gene, silver clowns don't have the dark gene. The combination of zebra and stripeless produces a fish where the more usual stripes are replaced by random spots and blotches. Depending on mood, the intensity of the blotches can fade almost totally or darken to a deep black colour.
