Pinoy Angelfish

The fish shown is a smokey pinoy, bred by Ken Kennedy.

Pinoy is a name coined by Ken Kennedy for all angels with a dark gene which are also homozygous for the philippine blue gene, first identified by Ken.
The best pinoy angelfish have deep blue colouration as shown in the photograph, although their appearance is very dependent on both mood, the source of light, and the angle it hits the fish.

We are working towards producing more fish as stunning as the smokey pinoy shown above, but also hope to produce other pinoy varieties over the next year or so, hopefully these will include paraiba pinoys.
