Blue Chocolate Angelfish

In our opinion Blue chocolates are one of the nicest of the new blue varieties. As with other blue angels the blue results from a "double dose" of the Philippine blue gene whilst the chocolate is produced by a "double dose" of the smokey gene; so the genetic notation is - Sm/Sm - pb/pb. We are sure that this variety will become a firm favourite once supplies become more established. Blue chocolates tend to have a solid black patch at the top of the dorsal, a red line running along the front edge of the dorsal, and a very dark rear half which can vary from black to deep blue depending on mood. with good blue colouration on the head.
